Eero has gone with a design that combines the look of its original routers with the cupcake-syle domed devices it released last year. For those who own any current Eero devices, Amazon says you’ll be able to add the Eero 6 and Pro 6 to your existing network.
Amazon will sell both the Eero 6 and Pro 6 in two and three packs. A single Eero 6 will provide you with 1,500 square feet of wireless coverage. Adding Eero’s new WiFi extender to the mix, which comes included in the two and three packs the company plans to sell, will extend your coverage to 3,000 square feet. With a single Eero 6 and two extenders, you can get 5,000 square feet of coverage. The Pro 6, meanwhile, can cover 2,000 square feet on its own, with two and three Pro 6 units working together to extend your coverage to 3,500 and 6,000 square feet, respectively. Outfitting your entire home with an eero 6 network won’t be too expensive with the three-pack topping out at $279. Unfortunately, you can’t say the same about the tri-band Pro 6, with its two- and three-packs costing $399 and $599.
Both models are available to pre-order today on Amazon, with retail availability scheduled for later in the year.
